GAME OVERVIEW

DAMON and BABY is out today—March 26, 2026—and it’s not what you’d expect from Arc System Works. Forget their usual fighting games.

This time, Guilty Gear’s Daisuke Ishiwatari is at the helm, guiding players through an action-adventure that leans into twin-stick shooting mixed with slow-burn exploration.

You play as Damon, a demon with big dreams of ruling as the Great Demon King. Instead, he wakes up powerless and cursed—now magically bound to protect a mysterious human baby. Foodslingers

If he ever wants to break free, he’s got to escort this infant across the dangerous continent of Pywel, all the way to the Celestial Realm.

The gameplay splits into two main parts. First, at your base—a converted trailer run by a cranky shopkeeper—you upgrade Damon’s skills, buy gear, and swap out his look with new outfits. Then, there’s the Exploration phase, and that’s when things get hectic.

The game turns into a focused twin-stick shooter where moving fast really matters. The trickiest mechanic is the “Baby Jump.” You can fling the baby across gaps or over hazards, then instantly warp to its spot.

That warp makes you invincible for a moment, which is a lifesaver both for dodging enemy swarms and leaping past deadly traps. And with more than 80 enemy types, you’ll need every edge you can get.
