GAME OVERVIEW

What’s cool is that everything in the game—writing, music, and 3D art—was made by one person. But there’s also an in-game Art Gallery with 50 images, and 17 of them were generated by AI (and clearly marked as such). In the game, these are shown as artworks made by the characters, who are programs.

No modern, living artists were used for generating these images. The prompts were stuff like: Hudson River School, old masters, Delacroix, robots, abstract geometry, and landscape. I then photoshopped all the images so none of them are exactly how they came out of the AI. Shadows of Souls

Including AI-generated art is key for the world-building and meta-narrative of Carceri. I wanted to include a small dose of these works in the fairest way possible, recognizing that they’re naturally divisive.

HOW TO DOWNLOA

Click the Download button below and you’ll be redirected.
Wait for 5 seconds and then hit the blue ‘download now’ button. The download will start, so just hang tight.
Once The Carceri is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to The Carceri ” (You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the The Carceri folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
