GAME OVERVIEW

So in Baby Steps, you play as this dude named Nate — basically a walking L. He’s unemployed, living at home, kinda a mess… until he discovers his one true gift: walking. Like, literally just putting one foot in front of the other. That’s the game.

You explore this foggy, peaceful-looking world one step at a time, and yeah, you have to manually control each foot.

It’s weirdly satisfying and also a total disaster at the same time. It’s from the same chaotic geniuses behind Ape Out and Getting Over It, so expect to rage, laugh, and probably fall down a mountain 200 times. Rocklings

You’re climbing this massive mountain — like, stupidly big — and it’s all about taking it slow, soaking in the views, maybe tripping over a rock, maybe questioning your life choices. You’ll meet some funky animals, hear some surprisingly good music, and try to make sense of Nate’s whole vibe (spoiler: he’s not okay, but in a funny way).

Full physics-based walking. Like, every leg movement is under your control. Feels ridiculous. Feels great. A mountain so big it’s kinda offensive. Explore it at your own pace, or, like, way slower.

You can mess up Nate’s onesie. Yes, the game tracks how dirty he gets. Gross but also kinda hilarious. The music slaps. It builds dynamically as you explore and stumble your way forward. It’s like the world’s chillest mixtape.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD

Once The Baby Steps is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Baby Steps ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Baby Steps folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
