Will you let Babylon’s throne get snatched by imposters, or face betrayal from your top general after years of service? You can either buddy up with city managers or watch them turn into power-hungry rivals.

There are over 350 new events focused on court politics, intrigue, and personal ambition. Meet characters like:

– Alcibiades, the Athenian statesman known for his political backstabbing. Enlil-nadin shumi, the usurper of Babylon’s throne. Bardaisan, an Assyrian scientist and philosopher. RIPOUT

– Mago the Author, a Carthaginian writer on agriculture. Avicenna, a famous Persian philosopher.

Build estates, super expensive but totally worth it for the benefits. Dive into opulence projects to convert your wealth into victory points. Balance rapid population growth with the risk of rebellion by managing slums. If they become a problem, you can always “deal” with them.

Stress & Revelry: Rulers deal with stress from thwarted ambitions, jealous lovers, and raging barbarians. Will your ruler turn to wild partying to cope?

The Grand Vizier: Let Viziers handle the nitty-gritty of city management. Wise Viziers boost culture, brave ones speed up military recruitment, and disciplined ones create specialists and special projects faster. But watch out—power can corrupt, and even trusted Viziers might eye your throne.

You can either fall victim to the court’s plots or use them to your advantage—anything’s possible on and behind the throne.
