GAME OVERVIEW

Earth’s basically falling apart. Out of nowhere, these things called Star Spores hit and start warping everything—plants, animals, people—you name it.

Suddenly you’re a survivor with an alien fused to your head. It’s freaky, but also kind of badass, because now you’re stronger and, more importantly, you’re swinging around this wild weapon called the ChainStaff.

The ChainStaff isn’t just a stick. You jab it like a spear, use it as a shield, or whip it out to grapple and swing around. The controls are simple, but getting good takes skill. You have to think fast, time your moves, and get creative if you want to survive what the Spores keep throwing at you. Enemies just keep getting nastier. Lay of the Land

As you make your way through this weird, dangerous world, you’ll find stranded soldiers desperate for help. Here’s where it gets messy: save them, or listen to the alien’s whispers and harvest them for upgrades. Every choice shapes your abilities and sends you down different paths, so each run feels unique. There’s plenty of reason to come back and try something new.

The place is crawling with freaky mutants and bosses that completely fill the screen. Death comes fast—and sometimes it’s brutal—but if you’re smart, you figure out how to dodge it. Expect a six to eight-hour gauntlet designed to make you try, fail, and then get just a little better every time.

Visually, the game’s got style. Think hand-drawn backdrops oozing color, inspired by 70s and 80s album covers—strange, stunning, and a little trippy. And yeah, the metal soundtrack by Deon van Heerden is loud and relentless, cranking up the energy from start to finish.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD

Once The ChainStaff is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to ChainStaff ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the ChainStaff folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
