Modulus is a factory sim that’s all about getting your hands dirty with the nitty-gritty of design and automation. Released on April 2, 2026, it skips the usual resource juggling. Instead, you dive straight into engineering—building 3D blocks called modules from scratch.

You get a toolbox to cut, paint, stamp, and snap these parts together, and every piece you make doesn’t just get fed into the production line; it becomes part of the massive structures slowly taking over your map, right in front of your eyes.

The story? You play as a specialized unit, originally built by “the Colony” with one job: keep the bots supplied, no matter what.

You start to question what you’re actually doing here and set your sights higher. So, you build “Neural Monuments”—towering, complicated megastructures that really put your planning and scaling to the test. Don’t worry about stress, though.

There’s no combat, no enemies, no clock ticking down. The game gives you space to tinker, optimize, and make things run just right, all at your own pace.

If you like to break all the rules or just want to let your imagination run wild, Creative Mode is perfect. It throws out objectives, hands you every tool, gives you unlimited resources and bigger modules. It’s a pure sandbox: voxel art, gigantic layouts, wild experiments—go for it.

In the main game, Modulus follows a “Start Simple, Grow Smart” idea, slowly unlocking new tools and game mechanics as you push your factory further.
