Voodoo Fishin’ isn’t your laid-back lakeside fishing game. Instead, it drops you and up to three friends into a haunted bayou, where things get spooky—and a little weird. Lost Arcade launched it into Early Access on March 31, 2026. Here, fishing isn’t just about landing a big catch; you’re also trying to survive.

You play as a custom puppet angler, heading deep into the swamp to hunt legendary fish and sell your haul to the Fish Monger. But this bayou doesn’t let you relax.

The deeper you go, the creepier and more dangerous it gets, and soon you realize you’re not the only one hunting. If you die, you lose everything you’ve caught, along with any valuable gear you brought. Brutal. Super Meat Boy 3D

The Angler’s Manual lays it all out: you’ve got to rely on proximity voice chat, keep your friends close, and pay attention if you want to make it back to the dock with your hard-earned loot. Build your puppet character however you like, and upgrade your bait, reels, and rods if you’re aiming for the rarest catches—just be ready to risk it all in the nastier corners of the swamp.

One thing that really sets Voodoo Fishin’ apart: it’s self-hosted. No relying on big company servers that might disappear in a couple of years. As long as you and your crew want to fish, the swamp is open.

Go deeper and the bayou cranks up the pressure. The vibe slowly shifts from “quiet afternoon” to “get out with your life,” especially as the swamp’s nastier side comes out.

Voodoo Fishin’ hit PC (Steam) on April 2, 2026, and right now you can grab it at a 20% discount. It’s sitting with a “Very Positive” rating so far. Players dig the odd puppet character style and the nail-biting risk of losing it all with one wrong move. The devs say Early Access will last until “Spooky Season 2026,” rolling out weekly updates with new places to explore and extra-powerful gear.
