GAME OVERVIEW

Resident Evil Requiem lands today, March 26, 2026, and it drags players back into the haunted shell of Raccoon City.

Capcom’s latest entry leans hard into the series’ moody beginnings, but there’s real progress under the surface.

You get two intertwined stories to follow: Grace Ashcroft, a sharp but withdrawn FBI analyst on the trail of her mother’s mysterious death in a crumbling hotel, and Leon S. DAMON and BABY

Kennedy, back in action as a veteran DSO agent, hunting down a new wave of bioterror in the Midwest.

Eventually, their stories crash together in the ruined city. Both have to deal with the trauma of the old 1998 sterilization and something even darker brewing in the jungle of ruins.

Gameplay pulls you back to those tense, original survival horror beats: tight ammo counts, careful scavenging, tricky puzzles, and fights where every bullet really matters.

The big new feature this time is the Dynamic Perspective System. You can swap freely between a tense first-person view—great for Grace’s clue-hunting—and the classic over-the-shoulder angle, which suits Leon’s action scenes perfectly.

Grace also has a new Deduction Board, where you physically piece together clues to open up new areas. Leon’s sections shift the focus back to tactical gunfights and navigating dangerous terrain. The result is old-school Resident Evil with sharp, modern twists.
