GreedFall: The Dying World brings the series back, but this time, it’s not just another round of political chess and colonial drama. It’s a prequel that flips the perspective on everything you thought you knew.

Early Access lands September 24, 2024, and if you want the finished game, you’ll have to wait until March 10, 2026. Spiders, the developer, isn’t holding back.

Instead of sliding into the shoes of a smooth-talking diplomat, you’re a native of Teer Fradee—a Doneigad sage-in-training—snatched from your magical island and thrown into the crumbling “Old Continent” of Gacane. Beer Manufacture Simulator

The world feels like a broken-down version of 17th-century Europe, torn apart by the Malichor plague and constant war. You’ll travel through places like Olima, the City of Stars, and watch the chaos unfold at the ports of Uxantis, all while juggling your reputation with a bunch of powerful factions.

Your home base is the Constanzia, a mobile headquarters where you can actually relax and get to know your crew. There are eight companions, each with their own quirks and backgrounds.

They’re more than just backup in a fight—they’ll help you figure out the continent’s tangled politics, and they remember what you do. One minute you’re flirting, the next you’re betraying someone, and that can make the difference between gaining a loyal friend or ending up on your own.

Combat’s changed, too. You get to pick how hands-on you want to be, with three different combat styles: Tactical, Focused, or Hybrid. If you love planning every move, the Tactical Pause lets you stop time, spot enemy weak points, or set up a chain of spells. Not everything has to end in a fight, though.

The game actually rewards you for thinking outside the box—use disguises, talk your way out of trouble, or mix up a little alchemy to sneak through traps and explore forbidden ruins. In Gacane, sometimes your words are just as deadly as your sword.
