You play as Ting, a young girl who can see spirits all around her. You strike up a unique friendship with Xiu, a young ghost looking for peace together, you’ll deal with challenges from both the real world and the spirit realm, fighting for your sanity and morality while figuring out if this power is a blessing or a curse.
Over the course of five key years in Ting’s childhood, you’ll see how her supernatural abilities set her apart from everyone else. Can you handle this power? Will you be able to help your family, friends, and lost souls you meet along the way? Competing spirits will pull you in different directions, each with their own agendas, whether they’re trying to guide you or lead you astray. Mirage Feathers
To uncover the mystery behind this emotional journey, you’ll need to navigate tricky conversations, save lost souls, solve cool puzzles, and avoid dark spirits and other threats ting also has to deal with her family, which is on the brink of falling apart—she might be the only one who can save them.
**Third Eye Open** is presented in a gorgeous “paper theatre” style, inspired by Southeast Asia’s Joss-Papercraft. The game is rich in Malaysian tradition, culture, and folklore. You’ll explore Morning Markets, hang out with an elderly monk, munch on Lok Lok and Nyonya Kuih at the Night Market, dodge wandering spirits in the woods, and more.
**Third Eye Open** is the latest chapter in the award-winning Paper Ghost Stories series, following the short game **”7PM”**. These creepy tales draw on Malaysian and Chinese myths and culture.
